Through its financial support, participating students take Canyon Horizon sponsored ResQ Boxes home, collect approved household batteries with their families, and return them to school throughout the 180-day program.
That support also gives participating schools access to free household battery and e-waste recycling through ResQ—turning a university’s investment into a practical benefit for students, families, and educators.

How does school e-waste recycling work?
E-waste recycling access is arranged for the participating school through ResQ. It is separate from the student take-home battery collection. Electronics do not belong in the ResQ Boxes; families should not bring personal e-waste to school unless the school explicitly includes it in its instructions.
